The rock band Parousia from Minnesota is not us, although they do have seven members just like our band, the original Parousia from Buffalo, NY.
This Parousia based out of Minnesota is a Death Metal band in the ‘Contemporary Christian Genre’. They have two albums out and their songs are Christian themed, “The Flesh and The Spirit”, “Blessed Assurance”, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” and “The Lord is My Light”. Don’t let these gentle-sounding titles fool you, this band is heavy and dark. I can’t tell if they are serious about the Lord, or if it’s done ‘tongue-in cheek.’

For me personally, It’s very hard to understand the words but maybe lyrics are not the point. Regardless, this band looks to be quite popular. They performed a number of shows throughout the Minnesota area including a city called Buffalo in MN. The songs by this band are far different from the progressive rock that fueled the original Parousia from Buffalo, NY throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s.
