Here is the full show of Virtual Reality at the Troubadour on February 7th, 1991.

This was our second performance of Virtual Reality at the Troubadour. Marianne Smith booked and organized the return gig and we were happy to be back. The venue fit with our show pretty good. We had plenty of room on stage (most of the time, wheelchair scenes exempted) and the dancers had enough room in front.

I remember just loving how cool it was to be in this historic venue. How it catered to serious music fans who enjoy listening to live music in an intimate setting.

Since opening in 1957, the legendary Troubadour club helped launch some of contemporary music’s most talented performers like Elton John, James Taylor and Tom Waits, all of whom performed there early-on in their careers.   We saved some pictures from this night’s performance:

On this night, we were opening for a well known Beatles cover-band that toured all over the United States. They were called Twist and Shout from NY and NJ and you can check them out still on their Facebook page.

The band is comprised of four members looking somewhat like the original fab-four. Tony Kishman, bass guitar, piano, vocals is known as the “Paul” element of the band.  Jim Owen, rhythm guitar, piano, vocals is the “John” character. Chris Camilleri, drums/vocals (Ringo) and David John, lead guitar/vocals, as “George”.

According to their Bio; “Tony Kishman and Jim Owen are famous in the ‘PAC’ world as the stars of the wildly successful symphonic Beatles tribute, “Classical Mystery Tour.” In Twist and Shout, they go deeper into the songbook, adding a gorgeous acoustic set & covering hit songs most tributes can’t touch.
