After our first show at Bogart’s back in June, the rock band Parousia was invited back to appear again in August for an Encore performance at the venerable rock venue located in the Marina Pacifica along the Pacific Coast Highway.
This was to be the band’s last club performance with long time guitarist Robert Lowden. The actual break happened on Saturday at Parousia’s next gig, a private party hosted by our biggest fans, Mark & Marilyn, on August 5, 1989 in Long Beach. It was not an easy break as Robert was with the band since 1978 and was one of its core members.
Roberts’s love of art was his passion and he was going places that he’d dreamed he would always go. We knew we would eventually find another guitarist in the Los Angeles universe but we also knew we could never replace his spirit and artistic contributions.
