On this night Parousia landed a sweet gig as the opening band for A & M recording artists GIANT. The band GIANT scored one major hit in the 1990’s, the power ballad “I’ll See You In My Dreams“along with a frequently played music video on MTV. The song hit #20 of the top 100 that year. It was a cool opportunity to open for them at one of the best showcase clubs in Orange County, CA.

This was Parousia fourth gig since the band took on new band members Dudley Taft, an incredible guitarist from Seattle and veteran studio bassist, Gary Lee.
We had several rehearsals for this show as we knew the chances were good that someone useful would be in the audience tonight. We had a lot of schmoozing to do after the show that night.

Do you remember the band Giant? Giant was an American melodic hard rock band that was formed in 1987 and were a great band of true musicians. The quartet was not your average band of long-haired dreamers. No, these were seasoned session men and it shows with every note played. Their debut album, Last of the Runaways is amongst the best produced albums of the 80s hard melodic rock!
