Rock Dog Releases “Alive In L.A.”

The bean counters at Rock Dog Records tapped their fingers nervously waiting for Parousia to deliver a follow-up to the band’s December release “The King Of Christmas” and then they decided not to wait… and instead, remastered some tracks from the Parousia vault. …And so, friends and fans, on Friday, March 13th 2020, Rock Dog presents a new two-track single titled, “Alive in L.A.” featuring two re-mastered tracks from the band’s performances in Los Angeles, CA.

Side ‘A’ titled, “No Time For Keron” (1998) is the only studio track recorded by the band in the 1990’s. “No Time For Keron” features original members, Gerry Cannizzaro (drums), Patt Connolly (vocals /keyboards) and Robert Lowden (vocal/lead guitar/bass). Lowden weaves a haunting melody over Connolly’s unique vocal stylings and chaotic experimental keyboard, forming a thick and moody alternative rock song .

Side ‘B’ is a live version of “May’s Gone”, a song written by Robert Lowden. This version is from 1989 recorded live on stage at The Music Machine in Santa Monica, CA.. “Mary’s Gone” is one of the band’s best rock ballads. An emotionally charged song that laments the recent death of a loved one and the sense of loss and confusion that follows.

Featuring musicians: Patt Connolly (vocal); Robert Lowden (guitar); Gerry Cannizzaro (drums) and joining the band on keyboards is Marty Leggett from Reno, Nevada. [“Mary’s Gone” is an adjunct to the band’s later release, “No Songs For Mary” from the album “Moon Dogs” (2019)].
