In 1986 and 1987 the rock band Parousia from Buffalo, NY began to follow through on their plans to move the group to Los Angeles and seek fame and fortune in Hollywood.

…only to find the dream buried under a layer of needles and fecal matter deposited by an endless parade of homeless heroin-addicts, scattered across the boulevard like flotsam and jetsam along the shore.  Somehow the band managed to hop-scotch over the mess, pull it together and release Parousia’s four-song E.P. “Turnaround”.

… I digress, apparently at the same time, across the pond in Southampton, England a group of university students joined together to record semi-progressive Christian-rock music and laid it down during two recording sessions, 1986-1987.

The Southampton group decided to call themselves Parousia. Apparently they forgot to do their Trademark search. >ahem<

The only evidence of the Christian rock-band Parousia from Southampton England are three ‘audio-only’ videos on You Tube, “Two Masters”, “Sold Out” and “Emily”.  The music is interesting, definitely worth a listen… not be confused with the non-Christian rock band (leaning more towards Satan really…) Parousia from Buffalo NY.
