Where Did You See Parousia Perform?

Parousia plays Buffalo venues

What do you think – – was someone at the Buffalo News intentionally misspelling our name?

More places Parousia performed around Buffalo and throughout Westerm New York.

Were you one of the unfortunate people who saw and heard a Parousia performance at one of these venues (or one of many other venues that have escaped our collective memories)?  Tell us about it!

I think I just had a flashback – – did we not play a dance at a school for the deaf? How apropos!

Just came across your website. Yes. I do remember Parousia and, in fact, Extra Cheese playing at McVans. I used to go there all the time. Coincidentally, I was just down the hall from you at Keith Gregor’s Musicmall on Broadway, playing bass for Stross Fletcher. We got a spot on that Rock 97 album as well. Do you have any pictures of the Musicmall? Some of the things I remember well were the funky elevator to the 2nd floor, the forbidden 3rd floor, the Halloween parties, and the omnipresent smell of clove cigarettes in the hall (I think it was someone in Parousia that used to smoke them, actually!)

Hey Dave, yes, guilty as charged on the clove thing, that was Kim and myself. Sorry to respond so late, these emails were supposed to forward but apparently, not so much. Who were you with at the Music Mall? That was a crazy place, we have a lot of stories and memories from there. You are on the first 97 Rock album? I still have my copy – I don’t really have a turntable, but I picked up a gizmo that let’s me digitize stuff off vinyl, so I am capturing some of the old stuff. What do you play and on which song?

Doh, now I see it, Stross Fletcher. We loved you guys, used to take a break now and then and sneak down the hall to listen to you guys. Bruce helped us out with sound once or twice.
